Amy Hayutin Contreras

Amy received her B.A., magna cum laude, in Child Development with a minor in Italian from Tufts University and earned her Massachusetts teacher’s certification in 1994. After college, Amy served with the Peace Corps in Costa Rica, where she developed and taught pre-K through 12 educational programming and led parenting workshops on education and child development. Amy also worked in the nonprofit sector of educational support services with NCJW/LA, where she trained and supervised tutors working with teen mothers, the homeless and at-risk youth.
Since 2005, Amy has worked alongside her brother as co-owner of Hayutin and head of our business affairs and outreach. For over two decades, Amy has worked with hundreds of families as an educational consultant and case manager. An active member of IECA and GYA, Amy is now further developing her skills as a college consultant via professional development courses with UC Irvine, IECA, and the Gap Year Association.
Amy is a married “open nester” with two young adult daughters. After serving as an AYSO coach, referee and longtime parent volunteer with Wildwood School, she continues to pursue her passions of life sculpting and world travel.
